Krishna was hired with a dual responsibility: leading the Book business and overseeing the company's strategy department. He helped transform the company from a book retailer to a cultural department store. During his tenure, the company delivered 12 straight quarters of comp sales growth, grew EBITDA by $70M, and saw share price increase by 80% to an 18-year high.

Across 90 large format stores, 200 small format stores and e-commerce, Krishna revitalized Indigo’s relevance in books and delivered $20M of incremental sales and margin growth in $600M book business with initiatives like Staff Picks, the RECO app, and founding Indigo Press, which released two bestsellers in its inaugural year.
